Suggested diameter heat shrink tubing with 3 to 1 shrink ratio based on wire size
16 AWG will use 1/4" heat shrink tubing
14 AWG will use 1/4" heat shrink tubing
12 AWG will use 1/4" heat shrink tubing
10 AWG will use 1/4" heat shrink tubing
8 AWG will use 3/8" heat shrink tubing
6 AWG will use 1/2" heat shrink tubing
4 AWG will use 1/2" heat shrink tubing
2 AWG will use 3/4" heat shrink tubing
1 AWG will use 3/4" heat shrink tubing
1/0 AWG will use 3/4" heat shrink tubing
2/0 AWG will use 1" heat shrink tubing
4/0 AWG will use 1" heat shrink tubing
